Siloam Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Resident Medical Officer (RMO) to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality clinical care, ensure patient safety, and support the smooth operation of hospital services in line with our standards of excellence.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive medical care to patients in both pre- and intra-hospital settings, ensuring optimal health outcomes and effective patient education for improved quality of life.
Perform triage procedures to identify and manage urgent or emergency cases according to established medical protocols.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations to establish accurate diagnoses and determine appropriate treatment plans.
Analyze integrated patient information to identify and prioritize healthcare needs effectively.
Administer therapy, perform necessary follow-ups, and provide life-saving interventions when indicated. Coordinate with specialist physicians to prevent deterioration of patient health.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, providing education and updates regarding patient conditions and care plans.
Maintain accurate and complete medical records to support continuity of care, legal compliance, and hospital quality improvement initiatives.
Act as a Resident Medical Officer (RMO) in managing emergency and critical cases when required.
Oversee patient discharge processes and ensure timely hospital release when hospitalization is no longer indicated.
Supervise patient transfers and ambulance procedures to ensure safety and efficiency.
Coordinate evacuation and referral processes, ensuring complete documentation, equipment readiness, and effective communication between medical teams.
Prepare and submit operational and medical reports as needed for accountability and service evaluation.
Adhere to hospital quality and safety protocols, participate in training, and support initiatives aimed at achieving departmental and hospital performance targets.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine (Medical Profession).
Valid medical registration and certification to practice.
Minimum 1 year of experience as a General Practitioner, preferably in emergency services.
Strong knowledge of medical procedures, diagnostics, and patient care standards.
Proficiency in hospital protocols, clinical documentation, and data accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound clinical decisions in dynamic situations.
