Job Description
General Practitioner (Medical Officer)
The doctor will be responsible for delivering high-quality primary clinical care to patients with additional occupational health services as optional. You will serve as the primary clinical lead, ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and the effective management of work-related health screenings.
Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical Care & Consultation
Conduct outpatient consultations, physical examinations, and provide diagnoses for acute and chronic medical conditions (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, infections).
Perform minor surgical procedures (toilet & suturing, incision & drainage) and clinical tasks such as ECG interpretation, ultrasound scans, and blood sampling.
Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with Ministry of Health (MOH) guidelines.
Fitness to Work: Perform pre-employment, pre-placement, and return-to-work medical examinations.
3. Clinic Management & Quality Assurance
Provide clinical leadership to clinic assistants and nurses to ensure smooth daily operations.
Maintain accurate and confidential electronic medical records (EMR).
Ensure the clinic adheres to the Private Healthcare Facilities and Services Act (PHFSA) 1998.
Job Requirements
Academic & Professional Qualifications
Medical Degree: MBBS, MD, or equivalent from an institution recognized by the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).
Registration: Must possess a valid Full Registration with the MMC.
Licensing: Must have a valid and current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
Experience & Skills
Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical experience (post-housemanship).
Strong communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English (Mandarin or other dialects are an added advantage for diverse patient demographics).
Proficiency in using Clinic Management Systems (CMS) and basic diagnostic equipment.
Soft Skills: High level of empathy, professional integrity, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
Location: Section 17 Petaling Jaya
Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Monday to Friday)
