Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Medical Officer to deliver comprehensive primary healthcare services. The role involves managing acute and chronic conditions, promoting preventive care, and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes in a modern, patient-centred clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
Provide preventive healthcare services, including health screenings, vaccinations, and lifestyle counselling
Perform minor medical procedures within the scope of primary care
Interpret diagnostic results (laboratory and imaging) and develop appropriate treatment plans
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the clinic’s EMR system
Build long-term doctor–patient relationships to ensure continuity of care
Educate patients on disease prevention, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications
Deliver empathetic, high-quality care aligned with clinic standards and patient experience goals
Collaborate with pharmacists and allied healthcare professionals to provide integrated care
Support telehealth services, including teleconsultations, reporting, and remote patient management
Coordinate referrals to specialists and ensure continuity of care
Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, governance policies, and regulatory requirements
Participate in continuous medical education (CME) and professional development
Contribute to service improvement initiatives and enhance patient experience
Support clinic performance goals including efficiency, patient satisfaction, and revenue growth
Adhere to SOPs, policies, and quality standards while supporting operational improvements
Perform additional duties or participate in initiatives as assigned by management
Requirements
MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC)
Experience in general practice / primary care preferred
Exposure to chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, hypertension) is an advantage
Strong clinical judgment and patient management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
