Job Description
ALTY Orthopaedic Hospital is seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer / Ultrasound Technologist to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services. This role is integral to supporting accurate diagnosis and ensuring excellent patient care through professional ultrasound practices.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related imaging procedures.
Independently operate sonographic equipment and perform a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
Conduct 2D ultrasound scans, including Abdominal, Pelvic, Thyroid, Antenatal, Breast, Obstetric, and Vascular studies, as well as other examinations as required, with minimal supervision.
Assess appropriate scanning techniques and clearly explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort and cooperation.
Apply advanced cognitive sonographic skills to identify, evaluate, and document anatomical and pathological findings accurately.
Exercise professional judgment during examinations to distinguish between normal and abnormal findings.
Prepare preliminary sonography reports and ensure the technical quality and completeness of all studies performed.
Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures and strictly adhere to established safety, care, and infection control protocols.
Analyse sonographic images in conjunction with patient medical history and communicate findings effectively to the referring physician.
Coordinate work schedules to ensure adequate service coverage and smooth workflow.
Assist with the daily operations of the sonography unit, including patient preparation and room readiness.
