Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinic Assistant to support daily clinical operations and deliver high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and capable of handling both clinical and administrative responsibilities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Clinical Support
Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient care in accordance with established clinical standards and safety policies
Assist as a chaperone during medical examinations when required
Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the clinic
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the clinic and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols
Assist patients with appointment scheduling and clinic procedures
Coordinate laboratory tests, diagnostic procedures, medication orders, and specialist referrals
Prepare and update patient medical records by accurately collecting personal and medical information
Guide patients through clinic services and procedures to ensure a positive experience
Administrative & Operational Duties
Manage appointment reminders via calls and messages to confirm patient attendance
Maintain daily consultants’ patient census records
Handle telephone inquiries professionally and efficiently
Ensure accurate documentation and data entry in the hospital system
Maintain patient records for clinical evaluation and insurance purposes
Perform billing-related entries and ensure accurate patient charges
Support inventory and stock management of medical consumables and supplies
Perform additional administrative or operational tasks as assigned
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Adhere to all clinical standards, accreditation requirements, and safety policies
Observe and report incidents, near misses, and workplace hazards
Uphold patient rights, including privacy, confidentiality, and safety
Customer Service & Team Collaboration
Deliver excellent customer service through professional communication and patient engagement
Collaborate effectively with doctors, nurses, and other departments to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
Minimum SPM qualification (pass in all subjects) or a Diploma in a relevant field
Prior experience as a Clinic Assistant or Nursing Assistant in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred
Basic skills in nursing care, appointment handling, and data entry
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and work both independently and within a team
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM / 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Saturday (half-day): 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Saturday allowance provided
