Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Medical Assistant to support patient care and clinical operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service in accordance with clinical and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Provision of Care
Deliver safe and effective care to all patients according to standard procedures and nursing competencies
Assist medical professionals and act as a chaperone when necessary
Ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the assigned ward
Maintain cleanliness and uphold infection control protocols for equipment and the ward environment
Quality Improvement & Risk Management
Promptly report near misses, incidents, injuries, or health-related concerns
Promote patient rights and ensure their safety, privacy, and confidentiality
Adhere strictly to accreditation and safety standards
Resource Management & Documentation
Use medical consumables and supplies efficiently to minimize waste
Maintain stock levels and manage inventory per departmental standards
Perform accurate billing for patient care services
Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the hospital’s system
Carry out any ad-hoc tasks assigned by management
Customer Service
Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, and administrative teams
Provide professional and courteous service to patients and their families
Professional Development
Complete required competency training within 3 months
Attend all mandatory hospital and regulatory training sessions
Requirements:
Minimum qualification: STM/STPM (preferred)
At least 1 year of relevant clinical experience (preferred)
Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin (preferred)
Ability to work Monday–Friday, Day Shift
Willingness to commute or relocate to Petaling Jaya
