Opthometrist

Duties & Responsibilities:
1- To perform visual acuity and refraction tests on eye patients attending the executive health screening centre.
2- To assist the ophthalmologist when they are seeing eye patients.
3- To perform eye testing with the following equipment: Visual field analyser, Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Biometry, Keratometry.
4- To examine walk in eye patients for any ocular emergency in the absence of the Ophthalmologist and to contact the Ophthalmologist when required.
5- To learn to use and maintain the eye equipment in the Eye Clinic.
6- To provide teaching for Alliead Health and Nursing staff in the Eye Clinic.
7- To carry out outreach marketing related eye screening work when required.
8- To prescribe glasses or contact lenses when required.

Other Responsiblities:
1- Responsible for marketing activities and implementation of campaigns / activities at the Eye Centre.
2- To be market sensitive and constantly gather market intelligence in relation to the Eye Centre.
3- To represent Beacon Hospital in all public related events such as exhibitions, talks, promotions, locally and abroad.
4- Develop collaterals for product release and training.
5- To carry out any other ad-hoc duties assigned / instructed by the management as and when required.

Requirements:
– Bachelor in Optometrist
-Applicants must hold a valid Full Registration Certificate for Optometrists (Borang 9) & Annual Practice Certificate for Optometrists (Borang 15)
