Responsibilities :
• Clinical and administrative role.
• Lead and develop emergency services.
• Ensure 24 hours continuous emergency care is provided to meet the needs of patients. This includes
emergency procedures and general services in all clinical area, when required.
• Ensure and maintain high standards of quality and services provided at the emergency department.
• Provide leadership for patient safety and quality assurance programs and activities.
• Support and encourage the growth and development of the emergency department staff.
Education and requirements :
• MBBS or equivalent from recognized institutions approved by Malaysian Medical Council.
• Possess a valid Annual Practicing Certificate and registered with Malaysian Medical Council.
• Recognized postgraduate qualifications in Emergency Medicine and possess current valid National
Specialist Register (NSR) certificate.
• Minimum 3 years post graduate experience as an Emergency Physician and working experience in
major public hospital and/or established private hospital.
• In-depth knowledge and skills of current emergency and trauma management.
