Job Title: Medical Doctor – General Practice Opportunities in Australia

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Candidates with Membership of the Academy of Family Physicians of Malaysia and Malaysian-based Fellows of the RACGP are encouraged to apply, having completed the GCFM-ATFM Program for 4 years and passed the FRACGP exam. OR
• Family Physicians who have completed a Master’s in Family Medicine at the National University of Malaysia. If you do not possess the above qualifications but hold permanent residence and practice in other countries with the qualifications listed below, you are also encouraged to apply:
• Singapore: Membership of Fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
• Sri Lanka: MD Family Medicine (Family Medicine Specialist Board certification required).
• South Asian countries: Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners International.
• USA: Certification of the American Board of Family Medicine.

About the Opportunity:

• We are seeking vocationally trained General Practitioners (GPs) for full-time and part-time placements in areas facing General Practice workforce shortages.
• GPs are highly valued by patients in the welcoming community, where their advice is respected.
• Directly provide medical treatments to patients, including minor surgeries, dressing, medical health examinations, accurate diagnosis, and collaboration with team members.

Work Environment:

• Choose to work in established and accredited practices.
• Options for bulk billing or mixed billing practices.
• Full-time or part-time positions are available.
• Solo practice or medium to large-sized practices.
• Traditional partnerships led by NHS-trained GPs.

General Practice Sub-specialties:

• Support is available for the development and practice of GP sub-specialties.
• Secure a GP role in an outer metro Practice while the DPA window is open (confirmed until June 30th, 2023).

Visa Sponsorship and Permanent Residency:

• Immigration support is provided for Visa or Permanent Residency in the Health Workforce Certificate area.
