Job Description
As the Manager, Medical Affairs, you will serve as a key liaison between Hospital Management and the Medical & Dental Advisory Committee (MDAC). This role is central to ensuring effective clinical governance, managing medical staff affairs, and supporting quality and patient safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and facilitate meetings for Clinical Heads, MDAC, subcommittees, and hospital committees.
Perform secretariat duties, including organizing meetings, preparing minutes, and following up on action items.
Oversee credentialing, privileging, recruitment, contracting, and performance evaluations of medical specialists.
Ensure compliance with APC, NSR registration, indemnity, and certification requirements.
Manage on-call rosters to secure adequate specialist coverage.
Support hospital license renewal processes and maintain confidentiality of specialist records.
Organize CME lectures, orientations, and training programs for medical specialists.
Facilitate effective communication between the hospital and the corporate office.
Prepare reports and provide data for clinical subcommittees.
Actively participate in quality improvement and patient safety programs.
Undertake other duties as assigned by the superior.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Science, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in healthcare, preferably with a clinical background (nursing or allied health).
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills—written, verbal, and visual.
Strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Confidence in working with medical specialists, hospital management, and committees at all levels.
