Job Description
The Resident Emergency Doctor is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered emergency and primary healthcare services in alignment with the hospital’s clinical standards and service excellence goals.
This role provides clinical leadership within the Accident & Emergency (A&E) unit, ensuring efficient coordination of Resident Medical Officers and fostering a collaborative, team-based environment that enhances patient outcomes and operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Provide timely, accurate, and evidence-based emergency medical care.
Lead and supervise Resident Medical Officers within the A&E department.
Ensure seamless coordination of clinical activities to maintain high standards of patient safety and care quality.
Promote a cooperative and multidisciplinary team culture.
Uphold clinical governance, ethical practice, and regulatory compliance at all times.
Contribute to service improvement initiatives within the emergency department.
Academic & Professional Qualifications
MBBS or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution approved by the Ministry of Health Malaysia.
Fully registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).
Possession of a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
Skills & Experience Required
Minimum 5 years of substantial hands-on experience in an Accident & Emergency (A&E) unit, preferably within established private medical centres or major public hospitals.
Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to manage and mentor medical teams effectively.
Customer-oriented mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to work in high-pressure environments with sound clinical judgment.
Clean professional record with no history of legal or disciplinary actions.
