Job Description
Island Hospital, one of Malaysia’s premier healthcare institutions, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Officer to provide high-quality medical care and support across various hospital units. 🔹 Key Responsibilities:
Provide outpatient medical attention to staff and refer to specialists as needed.
Promote health awareness and wellness practices among staff members.
Supervise and maintain accurate, confidential medical records for all patients under staff medical care.
Conduct pre-employment medical examinations for new staff referred by Management.
Attend to patients at the Accident & Emergency (A&E) unit and hospital wards pending consultant arrival.
Deliver emergency care services and support consultants in ICU/CCU and other wards when necessary.
Participate in executive health screening programs and provide standby coverage for cardiac stress tests.
Perform on-call duties for hospital-wide emergency medical coverage, as per schedule.
Assist consultants with clinical procedures and medical interventions as required.
Contribute to hospital-wide safety initiatives and continuous performance improvement programs.
🔸 Requirements:
MBBS / MD degree from a recognized medical institution.
Minimum of 10 years post-graduate clinical experience in a public or private hospital setting in Malaysia.
Registered with the Malaysian Medical Council with a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
Demonstrated ability to work in a high-pressure environment and provide 24-hour medical support, including emergency triage and resuscitation for patients, staff, or visitors.
