Medical Officer

Island Hospital Sdn Bhd is inviting passionate and competent Medical Officers to join our dedicated clinical team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a highly recognised healthcare environment, supporting multidisciplinary services and providing quality care to patients, staff, and emergency cases.

We are looking for a doctor who is confident, adaptable, and committed to clinical excellence. You will contribute to both routine and urgent care while maintaining high professional standards, empathy, and strong teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide outpatient medical consultations to staff and refer cases to appropriate specialists when needed

Promote healthy lifestyle practices and provide health education when appropriate

Conduct pre-employment medical examinations based on company requirements

Attend to patients in the Accident & Emergency unit and other wards prior to consultant arrival

Provide emergency medical support including triage, stabilisation, and resuscitation when required

Assist consultants in ICU/CCU and other clinical departments as needed

Perform assigned medical procedures safely and in accordance with policies

Execute executive health screening programs and assist with stress tests at the Heart Centre

Maintain accurate and confidential medical documentation and patient records

Participate in on-call rotations to support 24-hour hospital and emergency coverage

Uphold safety standards and contribute to continuous quality and performance improvement initiatives

Requirements:

MBBS/MD from a recognised medical school

Minimum 6 years of post-graduate medical experience in a Malaysian public or private hospital

Registered with the Malaysian Medical Council with a valid Annual Practicing Certificate

Able to work shifts, including night duty, and provide 24-hour medical coverage when required

Demonstrates strong clinical judgement, teamwork, and patient-centered care
