MEDICAL OFFICER, OCCUPATION SAFETY & HEALTH
Job Description
KPJ Healthcare Berhad is seeking a dedicated Medical Officer (Occupational Safety & Health) to join our clinical and safety team. This role supports both patient care and workplace health initiatives, ensuring high medical standards, regulatory compliance, and safe practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical care to patients including examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, referrals to specialists, and hospital admission when required
Perform medical examinations for employees, panel companies, and workplace-related assessments
Respond to clinical emergencies in the wards until the consultant arrives
Prepare and complete medical documentation, including reports and treatment forms, in accordance with clinical and legal requirements
Deliver occupational health–related briefings, talks, and training programs when needed
Support OSH initiatives including workplace hazard reporting, incident investigation, and safety compliance
Promote a safety-first culture by adhering to OSH Act 1994 and relevant regulations
Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless service delivery and strong interdepartmental communication
Assist in the implementation and compliance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and MSQH accreditation standards
Participate in new programs and services introduced by the hospital
Comply with proper use of PPE and follow all safety instructions, policies, and procedures
Carry out additional duties assigned by management when necessary
Requirements:
Qualified Medical Doctor with valid registration and APC
Knowledge or experience in Occupational Safety & Health is an added advantage
Strong communication, clinical judgment, and emergency response skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment
