Medical Assistant ( OR)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (OR) to join our team in Petaling Jaya. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in the operating room, assisting surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures and ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures by ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, holding retractors, and performing other tasks as directed.
Monitor patients’ vital signs during surgery and report any changes to the surgical team.
Maintain a clean and organized operating room environment, adhering to all safety and infection control protocols.
Document surgical procedures, patient information, and any relevant observations accurately in medical records.
Assist with patient positioning and preparation before surgery.
Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure continuity of care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; certification from a medical assistant program is preferred.
Previous experience as a medical assistant or in a similar role within an operating room setting is advantageous.
Knowledge of medical terminology, surgical procedures, and infection control practices.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
