Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver patient-centered, culturally sensitive, and holistic medical care to oncology in-patients and out-patients.
Collaborate closely with Oncologists and nursing teams to provide clinical guidance, support, education, and assistance to patients.
Build strong connections with primary and secondary healthcare providers, fostering initiatives that ensure coordinated and patient-focused care.
Ensure all patient services are billed in accordance with established protocols.
Accurately and promptly update patient information in the PMS system, following agreed guidelines.
Maintain Continuing Medical Education (CME) as required for ongoing accreditation and compliance with MMC and MOH professional standards.
Safeguard the confidentiality and privacy of all patients at all times.
REQUIREMENTS
Fully registered with MMC and holding a valid APC.
Minimum of 4 years’ clinical experience.
Strong interpersonal, persuasive, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
Flexibility to work shifts as required.
Maintain accurate professional records to mitigate legal risks.
Willingness to undertake additional responsibilities outside normal hours, such as meetings and training sessions.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Treatment planning is conducted by Specialists; Medical Officers are responsible for assisting in the implementation of these plans.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience or interest in Palliative and Hospice care.
