Medical Assistant
Job Description
Permai Polyclinics Fortuna is a progressive private primary healthcare clinic dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centred medical services to the Kota Kinabalu community. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a committed and competent Medical Assistant to join our professional healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical support to doctors during consultations and minor procedures
Perform basic clinical tasks such as monitoring vital signs, nebulisation therapy, wound care, and administering injections as directed
Prepare, sterilise, and maintain medical instruments and treatment rooms in accordance with clinical standards
Manage patient registration, documentation, and appointment coordination
Dispense medications under supervision and ensure accurate labelling and instructions
Maintain proper and up-to-date medical records in compliance with Ministry of Health (MOH) guidelines
Ensure clinic cleanliness, organisation, and adherence to hygiene protocols
Monitor inventory levels and manage medical supplies efficiently
Deliver professional, compassionate, and courteous patient care at all times
Requirements
Diploma or Certificate in Medical Assistant or a related healthcare discipline
Strong communication skills in English (Mandarin proficiency will be an added advantage and prioritized)
Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required
Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a team environment
Basic computer literacy and familiarity with clinic management systems
