Pharmacist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will ensure safe, effective, and compliant medication management while delivering excellent pharmaceutical care and patient support.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately dispense prescribed medications in compliance with legal and professional standards.
Provide patient counseling on proper medication use, side effects, and storage guidelines.
Review prescriptions for accuracy, therapeutic suitability, and potential drug interactions.
Maintain efficient inventory control and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Monitor, document, and secure controlled substances in line with the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
Support ward pharmacy functions such as medication reconciliation and clinical round participation.
Ensure adherence to MOH and Pharmacy Board Malaysia regulations and quality standards.
Participate in continuous education and training programs to stay current with pharmaceutical advancements.
Assist in departmental audits, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
Supervise and guide Pharmacy Assistants to ensure smooth pharmacy operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BPharm or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
Full registration with the Pharmacy Board Malaysia (PBM) and valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of pharmacology, clinical dispensing, and Malaysian pharmaceutical regulations.
Excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Strong attention to detail, integrity, and commitment to patient safety.
