Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Resident Medical Officer to join our growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality primary medical care, interpreting diagnostic reports, and performing essential clinical procedures. Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive medical consultations and interpret diagnostic tests and health screening results.
Perform routine and emergency clinical procedures including:
Wound dressing
Blood collection
Intramuscular (IM) and intravenous (IV) medication administration
IV cannulation
Stay up-to-date with current medical practices and clinical guidelines.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues, nursing, and support staff to ensure continuity of care.
Work on a rotational basis, including weekends and public holidays.
Travel within the state as needed for medical duties.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree/Professional Degree in Medicine (MBBS/MD) or equivalent.
Fully registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).
Possess a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
Completed compulsory government service.
Minimum 4 years of relevant clinical experience.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including rotational shifts.
Preferred Qualifications (Added Advantage)
Experience delivering health education talks.
Leadership experience in managing on-site medical teams.
Postgraduate certifications or GP-related training.
Proficiency in elective procedures such as:
Intra-articular injections
Wound management
IUCD insertion/removal
