Job Description
Subang Jaya Medical Centre is seeking a dedicated and clinically competent Inpatient Medical Officer to support high-quality inpatient care and respond effectively to medical emergencies. Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary medical responder during emergency situations, including Code Blue activations, until care is transferred to a Specialist or Primary Consultant
Provide timely and appropriate urgent medical care to inpatients, ensuring full compliance with hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and safety standards
Work collaboratively with Medical Specialists in the immediate assessment, treatment, and ongoing management of patients
Perform approved minor clinical procedures for inpatients, including phlebotomy, intravenous line insertion, catheterization, wound toileting, and suturing
Adhere strictly to assigned duty rosters, including night shifts and on-call responsibilities as required
Take ownership of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to maintain and enhance clinical competence and medical knowledge
Job Requirements
Possess a recognized Medical Degree and be registered with the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA)
Hold a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
Possess personal Medical Indemnity Insurance
Minimum three (3) years of relevant clinical working experience
Experience in Anaesthesia and Critical Care will be considered an added advantage
Valid certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP is highly advantageous
Strong communication, clinical judgment, and problem-solving skills
