Roles & Responsibilities
• Work closely with Haematologists, Oncologists and the nursing staff of the Haemato Oncology Department (Chemo Daycare).
• Provide professional medical care to all patients, in line with Subang Jaya Medical Centre’s medical policies and procedures.
• Assist Medical Specialists in the immediate treatment and management of patients in the Chemo Daycare.
• Record medical histories, examine patients and document results in the electronic medical records or relevant registries.
• Perform minor procedures such as phlebotomy, insertion of intravenous lines, chemoport needle insertion, catheterization, when required in the Chemo Daycare.
• Respond promptly to all resuscitation needs and acts as the primary medical officer until a Medical Specialist is available.
• Educate patients as instructed by the Medical Specialist.
• Follow rostered shifts (morning and afternoon shift).
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of medicine through current literature, attending workshops, seminars, and membership with professional organizations.
• Actively achieve Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points
Requirements
• Minimum of five (5) years working experience.
• Basic Medical Degree from a recognized university.
• Registered with MMA.
• Valid Annual Practicing Certificate.
• Personal and valid Medical Indemnity Scheme insurance, renewed annually.
• Valid certificates for BLS, ACLS and PALS, renewed every 2 years.
• Work experience in an Oncology Daycare setting is an advantage.
• Interest in the field of Haematology and/or Oncology is required.
Shift/Timings
Monday to Friday and a half day on Saturday
