Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Paediatric Medical Officer to provide high-quality medical care in the paediatric wards in accordance with hospital policies and best practices. The ideal candidate will support specialists, manage patient care, perform essential procedures, and contribute to the continuous development of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver professional medical care to paediatric patients requiring urgent or routine attention, following hospital guidelines and protocols.

Initiate prompt referrals to Medical Specialists when required, after evaluating patient conditions.

Assist Medical Specialists in immediate treatment and patient management in the wards.

Perform phlebotomy and intravenous line insertions for inpatients as needed.

Provide medical support for internal referrals as directed by specialists.

Follow duty rosters and perform shift duties, including night shifts.

Attend departmental and hospital meetings as required.

Adhere strictly to hospital administrative, medical policies, and procedures.

Respond promptly to Code Blue calls as the primary medical responder until relieved by a Medical Specialist or Primary Physician.

Maintain up-to-date medical knowledge through literature, workshops, seminars, and professional organization memberships.

Ensure attainment of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points.

Perform minor surgical procedures, including wound toilet and suturing, catheterization, and incision & drainage when appropriate.

Educate patients and caregivers on the management of simple medical conditions.

Job Requirements:

Basic Medical Degree from a recognized university and registered with the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA).

Valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) with Subang Jaya Medical Centre as the place of practice.

Valid personal Medical Indemnity Scheme insurance, renewed annually.

Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP, renewed every 2 years.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant medical experience.
