Staff Nurse
Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate all nursing activities and services to ensure individualized patient care is delivered safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to assess and enhance patients’ physical and psychological well-being, providing support to both patients and their families.
Continuously review, update, and enforce departmental policies and procedures to comply with current professional standards and best practices.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and guidance to new clinical staff to foster professional development and high-quality patient care.
Accurately document patient information and nursing notes in the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS).
Proactively identify potential safety hazards within the unit and promptly implement corrective measures.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting excellent customer service among medical, paramedical staff, and other hospital departments.
Flexibility to work late shifts, participate in on-call rotations, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
Job Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
Registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board and holds a valid Annual Practicing Certificate.
Proficient in computer applications and healthcare information systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a pleasant and professional demeanor.
Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Experience in inventory management and equipment troubleshooting.
Minimum of 3 years’ relevant nursing experience in a clinical setting.
