Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Records & Information Manager to oversee, develop, and optimize our medical records department. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, ensuring compliance, and leading a high-performing team to support operational efficiency and long-term strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Review, plan, and recommend physical and electronic logistics systems to improve patient record integrity and security.
Lead and manage departmental activities, workload distribution, and special projects, including successful EMR project implementation.
Monitor and review department performance against established goals; recommend and implement continuous improvements.
Manage employee functions, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and coaching.
Supervise daily operations, set administrative priorities, and align departmental goals with hospital strategy.
Ensure accurate compilation and submission of medical statistics, including ICD-10 coded data, to the Ministry of Health.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statistical reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Develop yearly departmental plans and budgets for management approval.
Job Requirements:
Diploma in Information Management, Healthcare, or Executive Diploma in Management.
Certification in ICD-10 (by MOH & APHM).
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a tertiary hospital setting.
Proven experience in EMR implementation projects.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to drive process improvements and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
