Timberland Medical Centre, an established 82-bedded multidisciplinary tertiary private hospital in Kuching, Sarawak, is seeking a dedicated and competent Resident Medical Officer to join our clinical team. About the Role

As a Resident Medical Officer, you will play a critical role in providing frontline medical care, particularly within the Emergency Department, while supporting consultants and collaborating closely with nursing and allied health teams to ensure safe, timely, and effective patient management.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive medical care to patients in the capacity of a Resident Medical Officer, primarily within the Emergency Department

Perform prompt assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and emergency cases

Maintain clear and effective communication with Consultants, Nursing Staff, and multidisciplinary teams regarding patient treatment and progress

Ensure continuity of care through accurate documentation and appropriate clinical handovers

Respond efficiently to emergency situations while adhering to established clinical protocols and patient safety standards

Undertake additional clinical duties and responsibilities as assigned by hospital management or senior medical staff

Qualifications & Experience

MBBS or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution

Preferably possess hands-on experience in Accident & Emergency (A&E), Medical Ward, ICU, or Heart Centre

Fully registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC)

Possess a valid Annual Practicing Certificate, BLS, and ACLS certification

Clean professional record with no history of medico-legal claims

Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
