Senior Staff Nurse, Infection Control

A well-established and reputable hospital with over 100 years of excellence in healthcare services is seeking a qualified and dedicated Staff Nurse / Senior Staff Nurse (Infection Control) to join our team.

🔹 Position Overview

The Infection Control Nurse is responsible for providing expert guidance and direction on all matters related to infection prevention and control, except in situations requiring medical intervention. The role involves leading infection control initiatives, ensuring policy compliance, and promoting a culture of safety across the hospital.

You will play a key role in developing, implementing, and monitoring infection control policies and practices to safeguard patients, staff, and visitors.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor hospital-wide infection control policies and procedures
• Provide specialist infection control nursing advice on a 24-hour basis
• Conduct audits and surveillance of infection control practices to ensure regulatory compliance
• Lead education, training, and professional development initiatives related to infection prevention
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to strengthen infection control standards
• Act as liaison between HIACC / PCI committees and Infection Control Link Nurses (ICLN/P)
• Ensure adherence to national healthcare regulations and hospital safety protocols

🔹 Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma in Nursing (mandatory)
• Post Basic Certification in Infection Control (preferred)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (advantageous)
• Valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
• Strong knowledge of infection prevention standards and clinical governance
• Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
