Responsibilities:
Attend to medical cases at Emergency Department and other wards/units pending the arrival of the relevant consultant.
Provide emergency care duties for patients when called upon and provide medical back up to Medical Consultants at various wards/units whenever required.
On call duties for emergency coverage of the hospital at the Emergency Department according to the monthly roster.
Consult patients on executive screening programs, perform pre-employment and pre-university medical examinations and attend to staff requiring medical attention, referring the appropriate specialist(s) whenever necessary, and carry out procedures as requested by the Consultants.
Ensure that proper medical records are kept for all patients attended to while observing full confidentiality on all patients seen.
Participate in various safety, performance and quality improvement activities.
Carry out other duties as may be assigned by the Hospital from time to time.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) / Doctor of Medicine (MD) from a recognized institution.
A minimum of 5 years post-graduation working experience in a public or private hospital in Malaysia.
Possess a valid Malaysian Medical Council registration as well as valid and current Annual Practicing Certificate.
Be part of the 24-hour Emergency Department to providing immediate medical care for patient, visitor or staff requiring medical care.
