Chairside Assistance<\/p>\n
Prepare dental instruments, materials, and equipment prior to each procedure.<\/p>\n
Assist the dentist during treatments and surgeries by handing instruments, suctioning, and ensuring clear visibility throughout the procedure.<\/p>\n
Infection Control & Sterilization<\/p>\n
Adhere to strict infection-control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.<\/p>\n
Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments and equipment following established guidelines.<\/p>\n
Patient Preparation<\/p>\n
Welcome patients, ensure their comfort, and prepare them for dental procedures.<\/p>\n
Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and relevant information accurately.<\/p>\n
Radiography<\/p>\n
Take and process dental X-rays, ensuring correct positioning and observing radiation safety standards.<\/p>\n
Maintain X-ray images and documentation properly.<\/p>\n
Record Keeping<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate and updated patient treatment records, plans, and progress notes.<\/p>\n
Ensure compliance with patient confidentiality and data protection regulations.<\/p>\n
Clinical Support<\/p>\n
Assist with a wide range of dental procedures such as cleanings, fillings, extractions, and root canal treatments.<\/p>\n
Handle dental impressions, cast models, and clinical materials as required.<\/p>\n
Administrative Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Appointment Management<\/p>\n
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments efficiently.<\/p>\n
Maintain a well-organized appointment calendar to support smooth clinic operations.<\/p>\n
Patient Communication<\/p>\n
Provide patients with information about treatment plans, post-operative instructions, and upcoming appointments.<\/p>\n
Respond professionally to patient inquiries and concerns.<\/p>\n
Inventory & Supplies Management<\/p>\n
Monitor and replenish dental supplies and materials.<\/p>\n
Maintain inventory records and coordinate orders when stock is low.<\/p>\n
Patient Care Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Patient Comfort<\/p>\n
Ensure patients feel relaxed, safe, and supported throughout their visit.<\/p>\n
Provide reassurance to help reduce patient anxiety.<\/p>\n
Oral Health Education<\/p>\n
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices such as proper brushing and flossing.<\/p>\n
Provide guidance on aftercare and post-treatment instructions.<\/p>\n
Health & Safety<\/p>\n
Follow health and safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials and clinical waste.<\/p>\n
Assist in managing medical emergencies according to clinic procedures.<\/p>\n
Radiation Protection<\/p>\n
Radiation Safety Compliance<\/p>\n
Follow proper radiation protection measures during X-ray procedures.<\/p>\n
Educate patients about safety precautions related to radiography.<\/p>\n

Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and the clinical team to provide seamless patient care.<\/p>\n
