Role Overview<\/p>\n
The Resident Medical Officer is responsible for providing high-quality medical consultations, clinical procedures, and continuity of care. This position requires strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Provide medical consultations, including interpretation of health screening reports and diagnostic test results<\/p>\n
Perform a wide range of general practice medical procedures, including:<\/p>\n
Blood taking and phlebotomy<\/p>\n
IV cannulation and administration of IM\/IV medications<\/p>\n
Dressing and wound management<\/p>\n
Basic resuscitation procedures<\/p>\n
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current medical developments, guidelines, and best practices<\/p>\n
Participate in shift duties, including weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis<\/p>\n
Travel within the state as required for work-related duties<\/p>\n
Maintain effective teamwork and professional collaboration with medical colleagues and clinic staff<\/p>\n

Ability to deliver health talks and patient education sessions<\/p>\n
Experience leading medical teams for on-site clinical services<\/p>\n
Possession of GP-related training, postgraduate qualifications, or additional medical credentials<\/p>\n
Ability to perform elective procedures, such as:<\/p>\n
Intra-articular injections<\/p>\n
Advanced wound care<\/p>\n
IUCD insertion and removal<\/p>\n
Minor procedures related to primary care<\/p>\n

Qualifications & Requirements<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s Degree or Professional Degree in Medicine (MBBS\/MD or equivalent)<\/p>\n
Minimum 4 years of relevant clinical experience<\/p>\n
Fully registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC)<\/p>\n
Possession of a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)<\/p>\n
Completion of compulsory government service<\/p>\n
Recognized as a Fully Registered Medical Practitioner in Malaysia<\/p>\n
