Darul Makmur Medical Centre is seeking a courteous, detail-oriented, and service-driven Receptionist \/ Patient Services Officer to support front desk operations and ensure a smooth, welcoming experience for patients and visitors. This role plays a vital part in maintaining efficient clinic workflow, patient confidentiality, and high standards of customer service.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Register patients accurately in accordance with hospital policies and procedures<\/p>\n
Maintain and update medical records, reports, and required statistics<\/p>\n
Communicate clinic policies clearly to patients and manage incoming and outgoing messages professionally<\/p>\n
Organize and maintain all front desk documentation, forms, and office supplies<\/p>\n
Uphold patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times<\/p>\n
Open and prepare the reception area daily to ensure full operational readiness at the start of business hours<\/p>\n
Greet patients, visitors, and medical representatives in a polite, professional, and welcoming manner<\/p>\n
Direct patients and visitors to the appropriate departments and services efficiently<\/p>\n
Assist patients in completing forms and required documentation accurately<\/p>\n
Secure the reception area at the end of each shift, including shutdown of equipment and locking entrances per protocol<\/p>\n
Support billing-related processes and perform additional administrative duties as assigned<\/p>\n

Working knowledge of patient billing procedures is preferred<\/p>\n
Job Requirements<\/p>\n
Minimum SPM qualification; Diploma in Healthcare, Accounting, or related field is preferred<\/p>\n
Proficient oral and written communication in English and Bahasa Melayu<\/p>\n
Basic clerical skills, including word processing, record management, and office procedures<\/p>\n
Fundamental knowledge of arithmetic, basic statistics, and accounting<\/p>\n
Demonstrates high standards of integrity, honesty, and professionalism<\/p>\n
Willingness to work rotating shifts<\/p>\n
