We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Officer to join our Health Screening and Occupational Health Services team. The successful candidate will play a key role in conducting comprehensive health assessments, managing corporate health programs, supporting emergency and outpatient services, and driving initiatives that promote employee well-being and workplace health. Key Responsibilities
\nClinical Services & Occupational Health
\nConduct comprehensive medical assessments and examinations for patients undergoing:
\nPre-employment medical examinations
\nAnnual and periodic health screenings
\nPre-university medical assessments
\nInsurance-related medical evaluations
\nOccupational health screening programs
\nEvaluate patient suitability for vaccinations, referral services, health promotion initiatives, and other screening programs as required.
\nProvide clinical support to Emergency Room physicians and outpatient clinics when necessary.
\nSupport the development, implementation, and management of health screening packages, occupational health initiatives, and wellness programs.
\nDeliver evidence-based medical recommendations and ensure high standards of patient care throughout the screening process.
\nMedical Reporting & Administrative Responsibilities
\nEnsure the timely completion, review, and submission of medical reports, including interpretation of findings and appropriate recommendations.
\nMaintain accurate documentation and reporting in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
\nMonitor departmental performance indicators and contribute to the achievement of quality standards and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
\nPrepare and present regular reports, scorecards, and operational updates as required.
\nCollaborate with the Health Screening Manager to review existing workflows, protocols, and procedures to enhance efficiency, quality, and patient experience.
\nCorporate Health Program Management
\nOversee and coordinate all aspects of corporate health and occupational health programs.
\nReview and evaluate screening practices, clinical protocols, and operational procedures to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
\nMonitor adherence to agreed health programs and facilitate appropriate follow-up actions.
\nAnalyze health trends, identify areas for improvement, and recommend strategies to enhance program outcomes and service delivery.
\nCorporate Engagement & Health Promotion
\nWork closely with the Corporate Marketing team to develop customized health screening packages tailored to various industries and organizational needs.
\nConduct health talks, educational seminars, and wellness programs at client premises as part of comprehensive health promotion initiatives.
\nSupport the promotion and marketing of health screening services through pre-sales activities and program implementation.
\nProvide medical expertise and assessments to support organizational marketing and business development initiatives.
\nEducation, Training & Professional Development
\nAssist in the training and development of healthcare staff by sharing medical knowledge, industry best practices, and updates in occupational health services.
\nStay informed of advancements in medical practices, screening protocols, and regulatory requirements relevant to the role.
\nParticipate actively in Continuous Medical Education (CME) activities and maintain membership in relevant professional organizations.<\/p>\n
Requirements
\nPossess a Medical Degree from a university recognized by the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).
\nMinimum five (5) years of experience working as a Medical Officer in a hospital setting.
\nA postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health registered with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) will be an added advantage.
\nStrong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; proficiency in three languages will be highly advantageous.
\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
\nSound knowledge of cost management, budgeting, and healthcare analytics.
\nWorking knowledge of occupational health regulations and standards, including OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, FMLA, and DOSH requirements.
\nExperience in Occupational Health Services and an understanding of workers’ compensation case management and related regulations will be preferred.
\nAbility to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a strong commitment to quality, patient safety, and service excellence.<\/p>\n
