We are looking for an experienced Resident Medical Officer (RMO) to provide comprehensive medical examinations, consultations, and emergency care to patients in the Emergency Department. The successful candidate will deliver timely, high-quality medical services in line with hospital policies, professional standards, and consultants’ guidance, while supporting the smooth operation of the department and the hospital’s quality objectives.<\/p>\n
Duties & Responsibilities
\nParticipate in rotational duty rosters to provide 24-hour medical coverage for the hospital.
\nExamine, assess, and treat patients as a Resident Medical Officer.
\nProvide medical care for emergency cases and refer patients to the appropriate on-call or consulting specialists when required.
\nAttend to ward patients during emergencies or as requested by consultants.
\nCarry out medical procedures and follow consultants’ instructions, including IV drips, emergency ECGs, and other necessary treatments.
\nMaintain accurate, complete, and timely patient medical records.
\nWork closely with nursing staff and consultants to ensure continuity and quality of patient care.
\nProvide medical support for staff health matters when required.
\nCollaborate with the Nursing Administration team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Emergency Department.
\nParticipate in in-house training programmes, hospital committees, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
\nKeep clinical knowledge up to date and actively contribute to departmental and hospital quality indicators.
\nCoordinate and support mortuary procedures, including staff training and routine audits.
\nContribute to Code Yellow (internal emergency) preparedness through protocol reviews and staff drills.
\nSupport MSQH accreditation activities, including internal audits and staff engagement.
\nPerform any other duties assigned by Hospital Management.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience
\nMBBS or an equivalent medical qualification from a recognised institution.
\nMinimum 5 years of hands-on experience in an Accident & Emergency (A&E) Department.
\nExperience in a private medical centre or major public hospital is preferred.
\nClean professional practice record with no adverse legal claims.
\nStrong patient-centred and customer-focused approach.
\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.
