Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Explain procedures to patients and prepare diagnostic equipment for imaging procedures.
- Assist physicians in interpreting data from images and determine which images should be saved or discarded.
- Ensure proper record-keeping and perform administrative duties in the clinic.
- Maintain imaging supplies and ensure proper maintenance of all equipment.
- Perform imaging procedures, including proper patient identification.
- Secure patient information and check physicians’ orders.
- Log patient names for various procedures in the daily census log sheet.
- Explain procedures to patients and prepare them physically and psychologically.
- Perform complete echocardiography examinations.
- Provide aftercare to patients and assist them in getting out of bed.
- Instruct patients on result availability.
- Encode official results into the system.
- Strictly observe aseptic techniques and universal precautions.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of results.
- Maintain confidentiality of all laboratory results.
- Participate in monthly staff development programs.
- Submit required reports to the Clinic Officer.
- Perform other related tasks assigned by the Senior Radiologic Technician/Clinic Officer.
Job Qualifications:
- Registered Radiologic Technologist.
- Responsible, trustworthy, and hardworking.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Willing to work on a shifting schedule.
- Knowledge of ultrasound is an advantage.
- Male or Female.
Summary of Role Requirements:
- Availability to work Monday to Saturday in the mornings.
- No experience is required for this role.
- Working rights are required for this role.
- Expected start date for the role: 03 January 2024.
