Dr. Jesus C. Delgado Memorial Hospital Seeking Operating Room Nurse Supervisor

Job Summary:

Manage staff, oversee patient care, and ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
Assign staff, monitor their activities, and train new personnel.
Act as an interface between staff, patients, families, and hospital physicians.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure appropriate and comprehensive care is provided, with proper staff-patient interactions.
Address family members’ questions and concerns.
Communicate proactively with surgeons, anesthesia services, administration, and clinical leadership to ensure clinical excellence.
Manage all aspects of Operating Room and Procedure Room functions, including decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments.
Complete all documentation to maintain accurate and up-to-date information.
Adhere to facility safety requirements and procedures for a safe working environment.
Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a valid license
Master’s Degree in Nursing Administration or an administrative equivalent in other fields
At least 2 years of experience as an Operating Room Nurse Supervisor
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the Operating Room Department
Personable, friendly, flexible, and possess positive interpersonal skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Knowledge of typical Operating Room equipment required
