REGISTERED NURSE

• Obtains and records vital signs with accurate judgment.
• Obtains history and documents it properly.
• Assesses patient’s physical needs including pain assessment, patient’s psychosocial and behavioral health and patient’s and families’ learning needs.
• Anticipates and performs preliminary specimen collection and lab testing as indicated (e.g., Urinalysis, CBC, etc.)
• Documents and reports lab results to providers and patients.
• Provides patient/family education regarding growth, development, safety, nutrition and vaccines.
• Promotes wellness and health promotion behaviors.
• Administers vaccines, medications and treatments as ordered by provider and within scope of practice.
• Prepares exam rooms for use, monitoring supplies, logging on computers, sanitizing exam table and equipment between uses.
• Monitors emergency supplies, ensuring availability and integrity.
• Accompany patient for referral and transport into other facility should necessary.
• Facilitates scheduling and follow up for patients referred for consults and procedures.
• Maintains organized, clean, efficient and confidential work area.
• Attends meetings as required.
• Maintain satisfactory, regular and predictable attendance by reporting to work as scheduled and keeping unscheduled absences to a minimum.
• Displays a consistently positive, cooperative, self-motivated, courteous and professional attitude.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
