Laboratory Microbiologist
Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
• Perform microbiological analyses on accepted samples following specific methods and procedures.
• Complete the required reports and submit to the respective authorities for review, approval, and signature.
• Ensure that the necessary analysis is finished in a timely way to facilitate swift results delivery to clients.
• Prepare requisite media and reagents and carry out diligent maintenance of assigned equipment to ensure efficient laboratory tests’ conduct.
• Execute the established laboratory quality system based on PNS ISO/IEC 17025 scrupulously.
• Implement protocol on corrective and preventive measures for non-conforming projects.
• Monitor supply inventories crucial for microbiological tests.
• Handle preparation and follow-up of P.R./P.O. for required materials/supplies to be purchased.
• Assist management in conceptualizing and implementing beneficial programs and projects for the business.
• Participate in Proficiency Testing and other lab Quality Assurance programs, including method validation as required.
• Emphasize excellent housekeeping, safety guidelines, and efficient laboratory waste disposal.
• Assist in conducting special projects.
• Represent Fast Laboratories in professional circles, technical forums, etc., when required.
• Report directly to the Microbiology Specialist and Laboratory Business Manager.
• Act as a deputy to the Microbiology Specialist when required.
Requirements
• A certified Laboratory Microbiologist with relevant qualifications and experience.
• Punctual, reliable, and professional in implementing tasks with precision.
• Ability to adhere to quality protocols and safety guidelines.
• Proficient in using lab equipment and analytical tools.
• A capable team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Able to work under time pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
