Hemodialysis Technician

As a Hemodialysis Technician at Fe Del Mundo Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to patients with kidney disorders. Responsibilities:

• Set up and prepare hemodialysis machines and equipment for patient treatments.
• Monitor and operate hemodialysis machines during treatments, ensuring safety and adherence to protocols.
• Administer prescribed dialysis treatments, including monitoring vital signs and addressing patient comfort.
• Educate patients on the hemodialysis process, self-care techniques, and dietary restrictions.
• Monitor and assess patients for any adverse reactions during and after hemodialysis sessions.
• Collaborate with registered nurses and healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.
• Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on hemodialysis equipment.
• Document and maintain accurate records of patient treatments and vital signs.
• Ensure infection control measures are followed to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with advancements in hemodialysis care.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Hemodialysis Technician training program is preferred.
• Certification as a Hemodialysis Technician is a plus.
• Previous experience in a hemodialysis unit or related healthcare setting is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Knowledge of dialysis equipment and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work in rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
