Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process and maintaining nursing practice standards. You will manage records, supplies, and equipment, provide health education to patients and families, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care and patient outcomes. Continuous quality improvement and safe nursing practices are at the core of your role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Efficiently admit patients using the nursing process and customer service standards
Obtain comprehensive data from patient health history and physical exams using proper assessment techniques and diagnostic tools
Develop and implement nursing care plans based on identified nursing problems
Execute safe and timely nursing interventions in line with hospital standards and patient rights
Provide care for vulnerable groups, identifying changes in patient conditions and adjusting care plans as needed
Ensure safe transport of patients between units
Practice effective infection control and handle hazardous materials responsibly
Administer regular and high-alert medications safely and monitor IV therapy, blood transfusions, and parenteral medications
Respond to emergencies and ensure proper use of safety devices, such as restraints and call lights
Maintain equipment, update patient records, and monitor emergency supplies
Provide health education to patients and families and assist with quality improvement activities
Supervise and delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel and act as a preceptor for nursing students and new nurses
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse in the Philippines with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Basic Life Training and Intravenous Therapy Training
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Excellent moral character, professionalism, and ability to work well within a team
Analytical, problem-solving skills, and multitasking ability
