Job Description
As a Staff Pharmacist at Fe Del Mundo Medical Center, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications within our healthcare facility. Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately, following prescription orders and ensuring compliance with legal requirements and ethical standards.
- Provide medication counseling to patients, addressing their questions and concerns regarding medications, side effects, and proper usage.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy and contribute to multidisciplinary patient care rounds.
- Monitor and manage medication inventories, ensuring proper storage conditions and addressing issues related to expiration dates.
- Conduct medication therapy management and participate in medication reconciliation processes.
- Stay informed about new drugs, dosage forms, and pharmaceutical developments to provide up-to-date and evidence-based information.
- Assist in training and supervising pharmacy support staff, ensuring a high level of competence and adherence to protocols.
- Implement and maintain pharmacy policies and procedures by regulatory standards.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in pharmacy-related committees.
- Collaborate with insurance providers to facilitate medication coverage and address reimbursement issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
- Licensed Pharmacist in the Philippines.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, pharmaceutical care, and medication management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high standards of patient safety.
- Experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus.
