Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
• Conduct accurate medical examinations for Filipino seafarers and other workers during official clinic hours.
• Provide consultations to meet the medical requirements as per the standards set by the Department of Health and international regulations for pre-employment medical testing.
• Refer to specialists for seafaring job applicants requiring specialist assessment as per primary requirements or insurance company stipulations.
• Evaluate test results and diagnostic procedures and provide final recommendations whether the seafaring job applicants are FIT or UNFIT for the inherent duties of the positions as per Health Department and international regulations.
• Contribute to workplace disease or injury prevention by maintaining appropriate medical supervision of clinic staff and clients through physical checks, relevant advice, health education, and counseling.
• Develop and implement preventative health, education, and counseling programs especially for seafaring clients.
• Comply with the policies, procedures, guidelines, and protocols of HealthPlus Diagnostic Clinic Inc.
• Inform superiors and management of opportunities for relevant Continuing Medical Education (CME).
• Participate in company programs and contribute positively to the company’s image in public.
• Prepare reports as requested by the Medical Director and/or President.
• Undertake additional duties as delegated by the Medical Director or President over time.
Requirements
• Must be a licensed Medical Doctor.
• Must have a minimum of two (2) years of active practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advance Life Support (ACLS) training are preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of medical and legal guidelines as well as medical practice.
• Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
