Site Physician

Location NLEX Candaba Viaduct (Bulacan – Pampanga), Philippines

Leighton Contractors Asia Limited – Philippine Branch is seeking an experienced Site Physician to join their team for the Candaba 3rd Viaduct Project.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate the activities of the Occupational Health and Safety team in accordance with the provision of a safe and no-harm-to-health working environment.
• Evaluate and treat all injuries and illnesses in an efficient and professional manner within the scope of practice.
• Administer first-aid treatment and provide medication for employees with injuries or illness, and recommend further steps in the employees’ treatment plans.
• Operate various equipment and machines for emergency situations, response, and airway management.
• Review and analyze the results of the Annual Physical Examination of Daily Paid Workers & Staff, and recommend necessary tests and procedures as needed prior to the issuance of Fit to Work clearance.
• Closely monitor compliance of employees for further tests to eradicate the spread of viruses and diseases.
• Develop health education and disease management programs that encourage workers to take responsibility for their own health.
• Counsel workers on issues such as substance abuse and educate employers and employees on health and wellness in the workplace.
• Appraise the work environment and the risks of exposure, identify possible risk sources, and recommend safeguards.
• Evaluate workplaces for any potential dangers that may cause health problems.
• Collaborate with outside resources for program development, such as healthcare providers, third-party administrators, legal advisors, medical directors, regulatory agencies, etc.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and standards governing health and safety for employees and the environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine
• A valid license with at least 5 to 10 years of experience in a clinical setup or hospital
• At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry
• Preferably with OSH certification
