Nurse
Job Description
Medical Center Paranque is seeking for nurse who will be responsible for assisting and helping treat patients with various illnesses, injuries, or disabilities as they work with the other healthcare professionals in the organization.
Their duties would include taking and monitoring patients’ vital signs with the use of the recommended medical equipment and with proper communication with physicians, surgeons, and other nurses administering oral and parenteral medications providing relief and alleviating the symptoms, and promoting the well-being of patients. RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Observe and record the patient’s behavior and attitude
• Elicit and record the patient’s chief complaint and clinical history
• Take and monitor patients’ vital signs with the use of the recommended medical equipment and record them accurately
• Perform physical examinations when applicable
• Administer oral and parenteral medications as ordered by the attending physicians and surgeons with accurate charting of the type, route and time of administration
• Assist surgeons and other physicians and specialists during minor and major operations
• Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and complaints and communicate the same to the attending physicians and surgeons
• Counsel and educate patients and their families and friends on the diagnostic and treatment plans with consent and collaboration with the attending physicians and surgeons
• Foster a supportive and compassionate environment by providing psychological support to patients and their family and friends
• Inspect the clinic facilities and act to maintain a hygienic and safe environment (decontaminating medical equipment, sanitizing clinic working surfaces, preparing beds, etc.)
• Provide immediate medical care in case of emergencies
• Acquire additional knowledge and skills by attending lectures, educational workshops and related conferences
REQUIREMENTS:
• Registered nurse (RN)
• Valid Philippine license to practice nursing
• At least two (2) years’ experience as a nurse working in a hospital or clinic
