The Physician at Mizmor Health Center Inc. is a vital member of a dedicated, team-based care model, committed to realizing the Center’s mission of providing compassionate, high-quality, and accessible patient-centered healthcare that supports the holistic wellness of the body, mind, and spirit for residents of Oroquieta City and the surrounding region.

🔑 Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a full spectrum of primary care and general medical services, serving as a primary point of contact for patients across all life stages.
I. Clinical Excellence and Patient Care
Comprehensive Primary Medical Care: Provide expert, evidence-based medical care for a diverse patient population, including but not limited to, outpatient consultations, diagnostic evaluation, and treatment for a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses.
Thorough Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive patient histories, perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., lab work, X-rays), and establish accurate diagnoses.
Treatment Planning and Management: Develop, implement, and manage individualized, patient-centered treatment plans, including prescribing and administering medications and treatments, and performing minor surgical procedures as scope of practice allows.
Specialty Referral and Coordination: Provide necessary referrals to medical specialists, ensuring effective communication and coordination of care across the broader healthcare system.
Emergency and Acute Care: Be prepared to provide initial assessment and management for common life-threatening injuries and acute illnesses within the scope of the facility.
II. Holistic Wellness and Preventive Medicine
Preventive Care and Health Promotion: Champion preventive medicine by providing immunizations, regular health screenings, and comprehensive health education and counseling to patients and families regarding lifestyle changes, health maintenance, and chronic disease self-management.
Holistic Approach: Integrate the Center’s commitment to holistic wellness by considering the physical, mental, and social determinants of health when developing care plans.
Patient Education: Empower patients through clear, supportive communication regarding their condition, treatment options, prognosis, and necessary follow-up care, ensuring health literacy.
III. Team Collaboration and Administration
Team-Based Care Leadership: Function as a clinical leader within the multidisciplinary care team, collaborating closely with nurses, allied health professionals, administrative staff, and the Medical Director to ensure safe, effective, and coordinated patient care.
Documentation and Compliance: Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely electronic medical records (EMR) in compliance with all Mizmor Health Center policies and regulatory standards.
Quality Improvement: Actively participate in the Center’s quality assurance, patient safety, and performance improvement activities to continuously elevate the standard of care and patient experience.
Clinical Supervision: Provide clinical oversight and mentorship to assigned support staff, including nurses and other professionals, as appropriate.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Certification
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an accredited medical school.
Successful completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) approved post-graduate residency program in an appropriate specialty (e.g., Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, etc.).
Board Certified or actively seeking Board Certification in the appropriate medical specialty.
Current and unrestricted Medical License in the Philippines.
Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certificate (if prescribing controlled substances).

Working Conditions and Environment
This is a full-time position primarily based on-site at Mizmor Health Center Inc. in Oroquieta City, requiring flexibility to meet patient demands. Physicians will be expected to participate in an “on-call” rotation as scheduled to ensure continuous patient support.
