Job Description
San Lorenzo Ruiz Women’s Hospital is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Medical Specialist III to join its Department of Surgery. The successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering specialized surgical care, ensuring patient safety, and supporting the hospital’s mission to provide high-quality, compassionate healthcare services for women and families. This position requires strong clinical expertise, sound professional judgment, and a commitment to excellence in public healthcare service.
Key Responsibilities
Provide advanced and specialized surgical care in accordance with established clinical standards and hospital protocols
Perform diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures within the scope of specialization
Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, residents, and allied healthcare professionals
Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records in compliance with DOH and hospital regulations
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and patient safety programs
Uphold ethical standards and demonstrate professionalism in all patient interactions
Minimum Qualifications (CSC)
Education
Doctor of Medicine
Certified Fellow of the relevant specialty society and/or
Diploma from the appropriate specialty board
Experience
At least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience as a Medical Specialist II or in a comparable surgical role
Training
Minimum of eight (8) hours of relevant and specialty-specific training
