Pharmacist

Duties and responsibilities:

• The primary responsibility of the pharmacist is to dispense both prescription and non-prescription medications to customers in a safe and effective manner.
• The pharmacist is also responsible for controlling the distribution of controlled substances and maintaining proper records of their usage in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• The pharmacist must manage the inventory of the pharmacy, ensuring that stocks of all necessary medications are available and updated as needed.
• Before dispensing medications, the pharmacist must review and interpret physicians’ orders, checking for any potential therapeutic incompatibilities or interactions.
• The pharmacist is also responsible for conducting regular inventory counts to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize the risk of medication errors.

Qualifications:

• The candidate must have completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
• The candidate must be a registered pharmacist and possess a valid license to practice pharmacy in the country.
• Work experience in a hospital setting would be considered an advantage for the candidate applying for the job.
• Newly board passers, who have just passed the pharmacist licensure exam, are also welcome to apply for the position.
