Roles & Responsibilities
• Be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, greeting them and attending to their needs
• Schedule patient appointments in person or by telephone, ensuring optimal utilization of staff time and treatment room
• Notify medical staff of patient’s arrival, monitor service delivery times and keep patient appointments on track
• Use medical skills to anticipate and address patientâs anxieties, provide answers to their questions, and maintain a comfortable reception area
• File and retrieve patient records, ensuring availability of treatment information
• Assist doctors professionally
• Perform inventory checks, schedule equipment maintenance and prepare associated reports as necessary
• Maintain good relationships with staff, patients and visitors
• Provide thorough and accurate information to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a related role, with preference for registered nurses
• Knowledgeable in medical terminology and procedures
• Efficient user of electronic medical records (EMR) and appointment scheduling systems
• Displays strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Possesses excellent organizational abilities and can multitask effectively
• Shows high attention to detail and accuracy
• Willing to work on weekends
• Can start immediately
• Holds a Bachelor’s degree (required)
• Willing to travel 100% (required)
