\ud83d\udd11 Essential Duties and Responsibilities
\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for a full spectrum of primary care and general medical services, serving as a primary point of contact for patients across all life stages.<\/p>\n
I. Clinical Excellence and Patient Care
\nComprehensive Primary Medical Care: Provide expert, evidence-based medical care for a diverse patient population, including but not limited to, outpatient consultations, diagnostic evaluation, and treatment for a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses.<\/p>\n
Thorough Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive patient histories, perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., lab work, X-rays), and establish accurate diagnoses.<\/p>\n
Treatment Planning and Management: Develop, implement, and manage individualized, patient-centered treatment plans, including prescribing and administering medications and treatments, and performing minor surgical procedures as scope of practice allows.<\/p>\n
Specialty Referral and Coordination: Provide necessary referrals to medical specialists, ensuring effective communication and coordination of care across the broader healthcare system.<\/p>\n
Emergency and Acute Care: Be prepared to provide initial assessment and management for common life-threatening injuries and acute illnesses within the scope of the facility.<\/p>\n
II. Holistic Wellness and Preventive Medicine
\nPreventive Care and Health Promotion: Champion preventive medicine by providing immunizations, regular health screenings, and comprehensive health education and counseling to patients and families regarding lifestyle changes, health maintenance, and chronic disease self-management.<\/p>\n
Holistic Approach: Integrate the Center’s commitment to holistic wellness by considering the physical, mental, and social determinants of health when developing care plans.<\/p>\n
Patient Education: Empower patients through clear, supportive communication regarding their condition, treatment options, prognosis, and necessary follow-up care, ensuring health literacy.<\/p>\n
III. Team Collaboration and Administration
\nTeam-Based Care Leadership: Function as a clinical leader within the multidisciplinary care team, collaborating closely with nurses, allied health professionals, administrative staff, and the Medical Director to ensure safe, effective, and coordinated patient care.<\/p>\n
Documentation and Compliance: Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely electronic medical records (EMR) in compliance with all Mizmor Health Center policies and regulatory standards.<\/p>\n
Quality Improvement: Actively participate in the Center\u2019s quality assurance, patient safety, and performance improvement activities to continuously elevate the standard of care and patient experience.<\/p>\n
Clinical Supervision: Provide clinical oversight and mentorship to assigned support staff, including nurses and other professionals, as appropriate.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Requirements
\nEducation and Certification
\nDoctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an accredited medical school.<\/p>\n
Successful completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) approved post-graduate residency program in an appropriate specialty (e.g., Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, etc.).<\/p>\n
Board Certified or actively seeking Board Certification in the appropriate medical specialty.<\/p>\n
Current and unrestricted Medical License in the Philippines.<\/p>\n
Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certificate (if prescribing controlled substances).<\/p>\n

Working Conditions and Environment
\nThis is a full-time position primarily based on-site at Mizmor Health Center Inc. in Oroquieta City, requiring flexibility to meet patient demands.
