Al-Islam Specialist Hospital, formerly known as Kampong Baru Medical Center (KBMC), originated from the Da’wah Bil-Hal Angkatan Belia Islam Malaysia (ABIM) program, initiated by the ABIM Health Bureau in 1992. Strategically located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, opposite Masjid Jamek Kg. Baru, KBMC was built with a vision of fardu kifayah, merging economic and da’wah aspects. Celebrating its 10th year in 2006, KBMC introduced the concept of “Hospital Friendly Worship,” focusing on providing professional, excellent services while integrating economic and welfare aspects for the community. In 2008, KBMC rebranded as Al-Islam Specialist Hospital, emphasizing its commitment to delivering the best services to patients.
