Hospital Beaufort
Overview
Hospital Beaufort, established in 1899 and located in the Pedalaman Bawah Negeri Sabah, Malaysia, has evolved into a prominent government hospital. With its roots dating back to a 77-bed facility, the hospital expanded to an 8.17-hectare campus in 1984, costing RM13 million. As a lead hospital in the Sabah region, it serves as a referral center for Sipitang and Kuala Penyu in Sabah, as well as Lawas in Sarawak. Recent upgrades include specialized services in Obstetrics & Gynecology (O&G) and General Surgery, aligning with the Ministry of Health’s plan to elevate Hospital Beaufort to a Specialist Hospital. Committed to continuous improvement, the hospital aims to enhance quality healthcare services for communities in Beaufort, Kuala Penyu, and Sipitang.
