Hospital Melaka, established in the early 1930s with a construction cost of $2.5 million funded by the Straits Settlement, was inaugurated by Sir Cecil Clementi, the Governor of the Straits Settlements, on February 12, 1934. The vision is to become a Regional Center of Excellence, providing compassionate, efficient, and effective healthcare through teamwork, professionalism, and caring culture, utilizing the latest information technology.
